Windows 7 Unidentified network / Public  network?
I purchased new pc with windows 7 os. connected comtrend dsl modem and windows 7 comes up with unidentified network / public network and I get a yellow triangle error on network icon in lower left corner of screen and cann't connect to network. I've tried everything I can come up with and spent alot of time with DSL tech help but can't fix. I'd appreciate your help. LeRoy

Have you configured your modem and/or Windows properly? For example, if your DSL provider requires a PPPoE connection, you need to either set up a broadband connection with a password in Windows, or configure a PPPoE connection in the modem's Web interface (in case the modem can act as a router).
